More music. Full-length, full ‘phat’ versions. Less ads. 24/7.
This is radio for people who are passionate about their music.
Born from the legendary heritage of Street Sounds, Street Sounds Radio is the broadcasting voice of a movement that has been defining, championing and celebrating the music of the streets since 1982.
Our global family of DJs and presenters brings together the classics, forgotten gems, rarities, re-edits and the very best new music — selected with the knowledge, passion and authenticity that have always been at the heart of Street Sounds.
From Soul, Funk and Jazz-Funk to Electro, Hip-Hop, Boogie, Disco, Rare Groove, R&B, Dance Anthems and Soulful House, Street Sounds Radio celebrates the music that shaped generations — and the new music carrying that spirit forward.
The soundtrack to your life — then, now and tomorrow
Street Sounds has always been about more than records.
It is about discovery. Culture. Community. And that incredible connection created by great music.
Street Sounds Radio takes that relationship beyond our albums, events and social platforms, broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to the Street Sounds family in the UK and around the world.
Our programming combines expertly selected music with specialist shows, legendary and emerging DJs, interviews, features and programming that reflects both the extraordinary heritage and continuing influence of Street Sounds.
Because good radio programming is a lot like great record A&R.
And we’ve had vinyl running through our veins since 1982.
More music. Less ads.
We believe great records deserve to be heard properly.
That means more music, fewer interruptions and, wherever possible, the full-length, full ‘phat’ versions — the mixes, 12-inches and extended cuts that made so much of this music legendary in the first place.
No treating music like background noise.
No forgetting where it came from.
Just seriously good music, selected by people who know it, love it and live it.

Music is in our DNA
Street Sounds Radio is made for listeners who don’t simply hear music — they know it, feel it and live it.
For the collectors.
For the clubbers.
For the DJs.
For the people who remember where they were when they first heard that record.
And for a new generation discovering these sounds for the first time.
Four decades on, our mission remains the same: to discover, champion and share extraordinary music while respecting the artists, DJs, innovators and culture that created it.
Music that explores the very DNA of the Street Sounds era.
Pure quality. Absolute authenticity.
